The Security Department handles public relations, recruiting and promotional activities for the Chapter. This includes contacting businesses to set up recruiting and promotional tables, often helping them promote their own Trek or sci-fi products in exchange. It also includes sending out press releases about upcoming events and contacting various media with the opportunity for interviews and stories of interest. It is the responsibility of this Department to explore every way to keep the U.S.S. Joan Of Arc and her crew in the public eye (in a positive way!) and use these resources to attract new members.
At any point that the Chapter has a functional newsletter, then that would also fall under the responsibilities of Security, including the production, editing and distribution of said newsletter.
Current Mission Assignment:
Begin establishing media contacts and sending out press notices to various area media sources regarding upcoming Chapter Meetings and Events.
