PERSONAL STARFLEET HISTORY (declassified)
I was Executive Officer of the U.S.S. Rhyanna when the Fleet took on the Borg at Wolf 359. After my ship was destroyed, I took command of the Battle Hull of the Ambassador class U.S.S. Joan of Arc and managed to escape with the survivors. After her repair and refit, I was given command of that vessel until she was destroyed in another battle with the Borg years later above Earth.
I was then awarded command the Jeanne d'Arc class battleship, U.S.S. Joan of Arc, an advanced version of the Entente class dreadnought. We served valiantly during the Dominion War on combat missions ranging from stealth strikes behind enemy lines to fleet battle actions and every bloodsoaked thing in between. It was a dark, desperate time in which we fought not just for our freedom, but our very survival. It was a time of tremendous valor and bitter betrayal. A time that forced every man, woman an child of the Alpha Quadrant to dig in their heels and face their greatest threat because the only other choice was oblivion. It is a time that is now, thankfully, over.
In addition to my responsiblities as Commanding Officer during that time, I also served as the Judge Advocate General for the Third Fleet. During the Dominion War, I successfully secured pardons for Maquis that once served as Starfleet Officers, if they agreed to return to duty for the remainder of the conflict. Fighting for that cause got me a lot of friends and even more enemies, but I was promoted to Commodore for my efforts on the same day that I wed Dr. Anna Tor, the Joan Of Arc's Chief Medical Officer.
With the Dominion War over, I was promoted to Rear Admiral shortly before retiring and passing the command of the "Lady J" and her fine crew to a new Captain. They began the dual mission of training ship and bringing desperately needed aid to worlds devastated by the war.
I returned to Earth with my wife, who had accepted a position within Starfleet Training Command and was looking forward to spending more time with her and our children, Alex and Christopher. However, with the stability of the Federation's member worlds badly shaken by the war and Starfleet in such despreate need of experienced officers, my retirement was short-lived. Both I and my wife ventured out of our chosen fields due to the shortages, with her going into Command and becoming the Commanding Officer of the Joan Of Arc and I going into Engineering and becoming her Chief Engineer.
